Carle Place NY Yellow Pages

Carle Place is a hamlet in the town of North Hampstead bordering Old Westbury, East Meadow, Westbury, Garden City, and Mineola. William J. Levitt purchased 19 acres of land in 1946 and built Levittown. A few of his friends brought in lumber and built 600 homes close to the Carle Place railroad station providing residents with affordable living accommodations that offered an easier commute to New York City. The city was named after a 32 room home built in the 1800’s in Westbury, Silas Carle. Carle Place has its own school district which includes small sections of Mineola and Westbury with 3 schools including Rushmore Avenue School, Cherry Lane School, and Carle Place High School. All schools share one campus. Some of the attractions and family fun activities include Q-Zar Laser Tag, Old Westbury Gardens, Nassau Veterans Memorial, along with the Charles J. Fuschillo Park offering roller skating, baseball, court games, and a senior citizen area.
